Eclecteak Furniture Warranty & Exchange Policy

Overview

Eclecteak products are crafted from authentic reclaimed and virgin teak wood, renowned for its strength, character, and natural beauty. Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans, often repurposed from old boats, canoes, and historic structures. Due to the organic and reclaimed nature of our materials, variations in grain, tone, and texture are inherent and celebrated as part of every product’s uniqueness.

We stand behind the craftsmanship and structural integrity of our furniture. This Warranty & Exchange Policy outlines the terms of protection, care expectations, and customer responsibilities for maintaining your Eclecteak products.

1. Warranty Coverage

Eclecteak provides a three (3) year limited warranty on both indoor and outdoor teak furniture from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers:

· Manufacturing or craftsmanship defects, such as loose joints, cracked frames, or broken welds that occur under normal residential use.

· Structural issues resulting directly from the workmanship or assembly process.

If a covered defect is verified, Eclecteak may, at its discretion:

· Repair the item,

· Replace the defective part, or

· Provide a comparable replacement product if repair is not feasible.

Replacement or repair decisions are at Eclecteak’s sole discretion.

2. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

· Neglect, misuse, or lack of maintenance, including but not limited to failure to oil, seal, or protect the furniture as instructed.

·  Exposure to environmental conditions such as rain, snow, standing water, humidity, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures without proper protection.

· Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, surface checking, or small cracks due to natural wood movement.

·  Improper use, alterations, or modifications made after delivery.

·  Damage caused by physical abuse, such as dragging, dropping, or placing heavy/unbalanced loads.

· Comfort preference or aesthetic variations, including color, texture, or tone differences typical of reclaimed teak.

· Commercial or non-residential use, including staging, rentals, or hospitality applications, unless specified in writing.

3. Maintenance Responsibilities

To preserve your warranty coverage, customers must adhere to the Eclecteak Teak Care Guidelines provided at purchase and available on our website.

This includes:

· Oiling or sealing the furniture as needed (typically every 2–3 months outdoors and 6–12 months indoors).

· Using teak protectors to prevent discoloration and surface dryness.

· Covering outdoor pieces during rain, snow, or extended sun exposure.

· Avoiding harsh chemicals or pressure washing.

Failure to follow proper maintenance procedures voids this warranty.

4. Warranty Claim Process

To file a claim under this limited warranty:

1.      Contact Eclecteak within the warranty period at [Insert Email or Phone].

2.      Provide proof of purchase, photos of the item, and a detailed description of the issue.

3.      Eclecteak will review your claim and may request additional documentation or inspection.

If approved, repairs will be performed either on-site or at Eclecteak’s service facility. Any transportation or labor costs related to inspection or repair may be the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise determined by Eclecteak.

5. Exchanges and Returns

Eclecteak does not accept exchanges or refunds based on:

· Personal preference, comfort, or style decisions.

· Normal aging or color variation of teak.

· Improper maintenance or damage after delivery.

All Eclecteak pieces are final sale, except where a verified manufacturing defect exists under this policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law:

· Eclecteak’s liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the item.

· Eclecteak is not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.

· This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser for residential use within the State of California and surrounding service areas.

7. Governing Law and Arbitration

This Warranty & Exchange Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising under or in connection with this warranty shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Ventura County, California, pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

8. Customer Acknowledgment

By purchasing an Eclecteak product, you acknowledge that you:

· Have read and understood the Eclecteak Maintenance Guidelines.

·  Agree to follow the proper care procedures required to preserve your warranty.

·  Understand that reclaimed teak may feature natural imperfections that do not constitute defects.
